RedLine Welding Services
Planned maintenance and fast breakdown repair that keeps your equipment — and your operation — moving.
A weld that fails mid-shift costs far more than the repair. We handle scheduled maintenance and emergency call-outs so small problems stay small.
We can work around your shutdowns, night shifts and weekends to keep production running.
Steel gives warning before it fails. A hairline crack at a weld toe, a hinge with play in it, a rail that has started to move, rust flaking along the bottom of a section — all of those are visible weeks or months before anything breaks. Dealt with then, they are short visits. Left alone, the same faults become a gate on the ground, a trailer that cannot be towed, or a handrail that lets go with weight on it.
That is the whole argument for planned maintenance welding. The repair itself is rarely the expensive part — the expensive part is the disruption around it, and the fact that a failure almost never happens at a convenient moment. Booking a walk-round while things are still working turns an emergency into a line on a schedule.
We also handle the breakdowns, because they happen anyway. What we will always do is tell you which category something falls into: stop using it now, repair before the next load, or plan it in. Those three answers are more useful than any quote, and they are free.
How a maintenance visit runs
Walk the item or the site and find everything — not just the fault you called about.
Sort it into stop-now, before-next-use, and plan-it-in, so you decide what gets spent today.
Clean to bright metal, drill crack ends, bevel and weld to full depth — not a cosmetic bead.
Plate or gusset where the original design was the problem, then protect the repaired steel.
We cover Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Plano, Frisco, Garland, Richardson, McKinney, Carrollton and the surrounding metroplex — homes, yards, warehouses, workshops, job sites and commercial premises.
The cheapest way to use us is to batch the work. A single visit that covers the gate, the handrail, the racking and the trailer shares one call-out between four jobs instead of paying for four. It is also the easiest way to catch the small faults while they are still small. For a worked example on trailers specifically, see our guide to common trailer welding repairs in DFW, and pricing is explained in the welding cost guide.
Maintenance and repair suits keeping existing steelwork sound — trailers, gates, rails, racking, guards and docks — whether on a schedule or as a breakdown call. If you need something built that does not exist yet, that is fabrication. For a one-off breakage you want fixed on the spot, mobile welding is the same work under a different heading. Machines and attachments are equipment repair, and anything load-bearing on a building is structural welding.
Usually repair, because the parts that fail are fabricated steel rather than purchased assemblies. The honest exception is spread corrosion — if a frame has rusted thin in several places, fixing one area just moves the failure along. We will tell you when that point has been reached rather than selling you a repair that buys six months.
Yes. For yards, workshops and anyone running trailers or racking, a scheduled walk-round catches cracks, worn hinges and impact damage while they are still cheap, and everything found can be repaired in the same visit. Tell us how often suits and what the site holds.
A rig is dispatched as soon as one is free, and jobs that have stopped work or created a safety problem go first. Nobody can honestly promise a fixed arrival time across the whole metroplex — the distance from Fort Worth to McKinney in afternoon traffic is real. Tell us what is stopped because of it and we will triage accordingly.
Forklift impact damage to frames, braces and feet is common and often repairable. One caution worth stating: racking is a load-rated system, and where a manufacturer or a safety inspection requires a damaged component to be replaced rather than repaired, that is the right answer. We will say so rather than weld it and leave you holding the risk.
Often, because we address why it failed rather than just closing the crack. If a bracket cracked because it was under-built, a plate or gusset goes on while we are there. What we will not claim is that any weld is automatically stronger than new — it is as strong as the preparation and the design behind it.
Repaired areas are cleaned and can be primed or painted on site so bare steel is not left exposed — important here, where heat and storm water get into anything unprotected. Powder coating and hot-dip galvanising have to be done off site, so they suit planned work rather than a breakdown call.
Tell us what you need and we will come back with a straight answer and a fair price. Free, fast, no obligation.
